Challenge

An award-winning cheesemaker was experiencing issues with reception in their facility and needed a reliable solution for constant communication without interruptions.

Solution

The BAYCOM team visited the production facility to pinpoint areas with poor reception. They quickly determined that a repeater system would solve the issue. The engineering team implemented a new repeater and antenna, and programmed radios to allow full coverage across the facility. 

Results

The manufacturing plant is now fully functioning with a new repeater, antenna, 40+ radios reprogrammed onsite, and several new radios to replace broken ones they found while doing an inventory count. They now have excellent reception and reliable equipment for continuous communication.

Challenge

A distribution center needed dependable communication throughout their facility, especially in hard-to-reach areas in the freezer and cooler storage areas that lacked connectivity. They also struggled to maintain reliable communication due to limited radio channels for various talk groups. 

Solution

BAYCOM installed two digital repeaters and two room-mounted antennas, along with 80+ digital two-way radios consisting of four different models tailored for use in multiple departments. 

Results

The facility now has perfect coverage throughout the property and complex, including the coolers and freezers that once had no way to communicate with others outside their area.

A food processing plant struggled with fragile laptops failing in humid and washdown-prone areas where safety and hygiene protocols are critical.

Solution

Panasonic TOUGHBOOK semi-rugged laptops were implemented on the floor to manage production tracking, safety documentation, and compliance logs.

Results

The TOUGHBOOKs provided a reliable platform for operators to input data and review procedures without risking equipment damage. Downtime due to device failures was nearly eliminated, improving throughput and record-keeping accuracy.
