With the exciting news about BAYCOM’s recent acquisition of Communications Service Wisconsin (“CSW”), we understand that you may have questions or concerns. Our team has attempted to put together a list of questions and answers that, we hope, will be able to set your mind at ease and keep you focused on the things that matter most — your customers and community. What is BAYCOM announcing?

BAYCOM announced on May 17th that we have completed the acquisition of CSW, a Motorola Solutions Radio Channel Partner located in La Crosse, Madison and Portage, Wisconsin. These locations will now operate as “Communications Service Wisconsin, a BAYCOM Company” and will continue to run as full sales, service and support operations.

Why did BAYCOM acquire CSW?

As many of you may know, over the past decade BAYCOM has been consistently expanding its service area across Wisconsin, providing customers with mobile data, point-to-point, video solutions, and two-way radio solutions. In our decision to acquire CSW, we saw an opportunity to provide local service locations to BAYCOM’s existing customers as well as expanded service and product offerings for new public safety and commercial organizations. Further, we believe that CSW’s demonstrated technical service and engineering expertise will be a perfect complement to BAYCOM’s model now and into the future.

Will there be any changes to CSW?
“Communications Service Wisconsin, a BAYCOM Company” will continue to operate from its existing Portage, Madison and La Crosse locations. Technical and engineering support will remain the same and existing customers can expect the same level of 7×24 customer support. Rob Dillon, past owner and president of CSW, will become Executive Vice President of BAYCOM responsible for sales, service and support functions at all BAYCOM locations.

Will CSW locations have new contact information?

At this time, there will not be any changes to CSW contact or location information. CSW will become “a BAYCOM company”, but will not make any immediate changes to the name and website in this transition to avoid confusion among its current contacts. We anticipate that within the next 30-90 days that we will make additional changes to integrate the two companies, but we will be sure to keep you up to date on any changes.

How is this going to affect my current two-way radio system?

That is a very important question. At BAYCOM, our number one priority is you. Whether you are an existing BAYCOM customer or a new member of the BAYCOM family, we are committed to always having your systems at the forefront of our concerns. To this end, we have prepared an activation plan that, in the short term, will provide you with the proper service and on-call support during the transition. In the long term, BAYCOM will continue to provide all of our customers with the highest quality of sales, service and support. Customers new to the BAYCOM family should expect “business as usual” as it relates to the service they have been grown accustomed to receiving from CSW prior to the acquisition.

Will my account be reassigned to a new BAYCOM location or staff?
Not at this time, please continue to work with your current CSW location and staff.

What will happen with my scheduled installation or service project?

We have put an activation plan in place to ensure all installation or service work scheduled with CSW will continue as planned. We pride ourselves on delivering a high level of service and support to our customers, and we are committed to making this transition process as seamless as possible to you.

Does my current service maintenance agreements change?

BAYCOM has assumed all service maintenance agreements that were contracted with CSW. Your service maintenance terms will be guaranteed for the duration of the agreement.

What will happen to my current sales and service contacts?

Because BAYCOM is about total customer satisfaction, we are going through the proper procedures to make sure you are covered and that you as the customer remain at the forefront of everything we do as a company. We will do our best to make this transition easy on you, ensuring that any updates are shared with you as quickly as possible.

How will this affect my account?

There are a few details we need from you to get you set up in our accounting system. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be sending a BAYCOM New Customer Packet in the mail with detailed instructions on what we’ll need from an accounting and tax standpoint.

What if we already have an account with BAYCOM for two-way radios and/or other products such as Panasonic Toughbooks and Arbitrator, wireless video and point-to-point systems?

You will still be receiving a BAYCOM New Customer Packet in the mail providing you with updated information about the new service locations. This is also an opportunity for us to confirm that we have your latest information on file.
